Coming To Mauritius

So many Planes I had to catch but I still dont have the hang of it. The excitement on the picture is a lie, I hate flying.

New Home

First days on campus. Embracing the nature but being aware of the unavoidable small space.

Strike A Pose!

One of my two close friends that I made on Campus had a shoot showcasing the South African culture. It was fun!

My first time Travelling Expirience

Travelling Expirience

I've always wanted to travel outside of Rwanda, and I knew that one day, my dream would come true. As a child, I often found myself wondering about how other countries would look like and how different life would be there, Additionally, I tried to imagine what it would be like to fly in the airplane. Flying to Mauritius was a dream come true, but I had high expectations and was disappointed to find that things were not precisely as I had imagined. Nevertheless, the experience was wonderful. Firstly, we flew from Kigali to Nairobi. While in the air, I was first amazed by how lovely and peaceful the sky looked, I enjoyed it. We arrived at Nairobi Airport in Kenya, which was much hotter than Rwanda. While we waited to board another flight to Mauritius, we chatted with other students who were traveling there as well. I won't lie; speaking with your pal in your native tongue while others were unable to understand you was lovely.

Later, after a four-hour flight, we arrived in Mauritius. The country was amazing, the people were incredibly friendly, and the experience was simply amazing. Next, we took a car to the locations where we would spend the quarantine days. The experience during quarantine is another long story, but overall, the experiences were amazing.

The Mauritian Experience

First catamaran on the island!

If there is a place more beautiful than the island of Mauritius, it would be the large ocean that surrounds it. With miles and miles of nothing but beautiful waters to transverse, it is trully remarkable what one gets to see when touring on a catamaran. For a very affordable amount, one is able to get a full day experience on this vessel and tour the waters of Mauritius accompanied by friendly faces and excuisite on-board food.

Hiking to the highest point!

There is more to see on the Island of Mauritius than the sandy beautiful beaches. To the south of the island, is a beautiful place called Le Morne. It is a historic place that is monumental to the people of Mauritius as it holds key memories of a place where people lost their lives at the hands of colonialists. But in contrast, there is a beautiful beach that accompanies this monumental location to brighten the mood.

Can't all be fun and games!

This was a new and exciting experience for me. It was my first time haaving the opportunity to have a blue-colar job that paid me a sum of money at the end of each month. It was an enthrilling chance to work in an actual working environment with serious cut-throat deaadlines and being on the front line of getting to know all company operations and how I, an IT Intern, contributed to the fluid flow of office activities.
